You may wonder the meaning behind the blog’s name, “Ayin LeTziyon,” and its logo…

Ayin LeTziyon is Hebrew for, ‘an eye to Zion.’ It comes from the lyrics of Israel’s national anthem, “HaTikvah (The Hope)…”

“As long as deep in the heart,
The soul of a Jew yearns,
And forward to the East
An eye to Zion (Ayin LeTziyon) looks
Our hope will not be lost,
The hope of two thousand years,
To be a free nation in our land,
The land of Zion and Jerusalem.”
