“Behold, days are coming, says the L-rd, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Yisra᾽el, and with the house of Yehuda… but this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisra᾽el after those days, says the L-rd; I will put my Torah in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their G-d, and they shall be my people…”
-Jeremiah 31:31, 33
“Rabbi Elazar says: Be diligent in learning Torah, and know what to respond to one who denigrates the Torah. Know before Whom you labor–the Master of your work is trustworthy to pay you the wage for your activity.”
-Pirkei Avos 2:14
“While writing this commentary of the New Testament, I had no other goal, as I have said in the first volume, but to reconcile these two enemy sisters: The Church and the Synagogue… to show everyone that the New Testament only comes to show that the root of existence is in the unity of G–d (ahdut ha-Bore) … and also to strengthen the law of Moses (Torat Moshe)… I publish this commentary (to Matthew) in Hebrew for Jews, to introduce them to the New Testament who, until now, have not recognized its beauty (eynam makirim ’et yofya)… Notwithstanding the contrary misconception, the New Testament is in no manner contrary to the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) or to the Talmud.“
-Rabbi Eliyahu Tzvi Soloveitchik, Kol Kore
Waykeeper Principles #6 & #8
6. The Jewish writings called, “the New Testament,” are not equal, but are subordinate to the Torah given by G-d at Sinai (and therefore not intended as a Halachic authority).
8. We do not yet have a kosher translation of the “New Testament,” but its general teachings align especially with Hasidic Judaism (e.g. serving G-d with and beyond ‘the letter’).

1 Corinthians 15:32 → 1 Corinthians 15:52 (21)
32 If, according to man, I fought with wild beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.” 34 Sober up righteously, and do not sin; for some have no knowledge of G-d. I speak this to your shame. 35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?” 36 Foolish one! What you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow the body that shall be, but a bare grain—perhaps of wheat or of some other kind. 38 But G-d gives it a body as He has willed, and to each seed its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another of beasts, another of birds, another of fish. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a soulish body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a soulish body, there is also a spiritual. 45 And so it is written: “The first man Adam became a living soul”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 But the spiritual is not first, but the soulish, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As is the dusty one, such also are those who are dusty; and as is the heavenly one, such also are those who are heavenly. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the dusty one, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one. 50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of G-d; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last shofar; for the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Monday (2):
1 Corinthians 15:53 → 1 Corinthians 16:14 (20)
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then will come to pass the word that has been written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to G-d, who gives us the victory through our Master Yeshua the Messiah. 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Master, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Master.
Chapter 16
1 Now concerning the collection for the holy ones: as I directed the assemblies of Galatia, so also you must do. 2 On the first day of the week let each one of you set something aside, storing up, as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. 3 And when I arrive, whomever you approve by your letters, I will send them to carry your gracious gift to Yerushalayim. 4 And if it is worthy for me to go also, they shall go with me. 5 Now I will come to you when I have passed through Macedonia (for I am passing through Macedonia), 6 and perhaps I will remain with you, or even spend the winter, that you may send me on my way wherever I may go. 7 For I do not wish to see you now in passing, but I hope to remain a while with you, if the L-rd permits. 8 But I will remain in Ephesus until Shavuot. 9 For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear, for he works the work of the Master, as I also do. 11 Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him together with the brothers. 12 Now concerning Apollos the brother, I urged him much to come to you with the brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now; but he will come when he has a suitable time. 13 Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be men! Be strong! 14 Let all that you do be done in love.
Tuesday (3):
1 Corinthians 16:15 → 2 Corinthians 1:11 (21)
15 I exhort you, brothers—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the set-apart ones— 16 that you also be subject to such, and to everyone who works together with us and labors. 17 I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking from you they filled up. 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore recognize such men. 19 The assemblies of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Master, with the assembly that is in their house. 20 All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. 21 The greeting of Sha’ul with my own hand. 22 If anyone does not love the L-rd, let him be accursed. Maranatha! 23 The grace of the Master Yeshua be with you. 24 My love be with you all in Messiah Yeshua. Amen.
THE SECOND LETTER TO THE Corintims
Chapter 1
1 Sha’ul, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua through the will of G-d, and Timothy the brother, to the assembly of G-d which is in Corinth, with all the holy ones who are throughout Achaia: 2 Grace to you and peace from G-d our Father and the Master Yeshua the Messiah. 3 Blessed be the G-d and Father of our Master Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of mercies and G-d of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by G-d. 5 For as the sufferings of the Messiah abound to us, so also through the Messiah our comfort abounds. 6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. 7 And our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that as you are sharers in the sufferings, so also you are sharers in the comfort. 8 For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of our affliction which came upon us in Asia, that we were burdened exceedingly, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life. 9 But we ourselves had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in G-d who raises the dead, 10 who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we have hope that He will also yet deliver us, 11 you also joining in helping through prayer for us, that from many faces thanksgiving may be given on our behalf for the gracious gift granted to us through many.
Wednesday (4):
2 Corinthians 1:12 → 2 Corinthians 2:11 (24)
12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and godly sincerity—not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of G-d—we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you. 13 For we write no other things to you than what you read or also acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end, 14 just as you also acknowledged us in part, that we are your boasting even as you also are ours in the Day of our Master Yeshua. 15 And in this confidence I was intending to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit, 16 and through you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and by you to be sent forward to Judea. 17 When I therefore intended this, did I use lightness? Or the things I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that there should be with me yes, yes and no, no? 18 But as G-d is faithful, our word toward you is not yes and no. 19 For the son of G-d, Yeshua the Messiah, who was proclaimed among you through us—through me and Silvanus and Timothy—was not yes and no, but in him is yes. 20 For as many as are the promises of G-d, in him is the yes; therefore also through him is the Amen, to the glory of G-d through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with you in the Messiah and has anointed us is G-d, 22 who also sealed us and gave the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts. 23 But I call G-d as witness upon my soul, that to spare you I came no more to Corinth. 24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we are fellow workers of your joy; for by faith you stand.
Chapter 2
1 But I determined this for myself—not to come to you again in grief. 2 For if I grieve you, who then is the one making me glad but the one who is grieved by me? 3 And I wrote this very thing, lest on coming I should have grief from those from whom I ought to rejoice, having confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all. 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you through many tears, not that you might be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have especially toward you. 5 But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but in some measure—that I may not burden you all. 6 Sufficient for such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many; 7 so that on the contrary you should rather forgive and comfort him, lest somehow such a one be swallowed up by excessive grief. 8 Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him. 9 For to this end also I wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 But to whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it was for your sakes in the presence of the Messiah, 11 lest we be taken advantage of by the Adversary, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
Thursday (5):
2 Corinthians 2:12 → 2 Corinthians 3:11 (17)
2 Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of the Messiah, and a door was opened for me in the Master, 13 I had no rest in my spirit because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I went away into Macedonia. 14 But thanks be to G-d, who always leads us in triumph in the Messiah, and through us manifests the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are a sweet aroma of the Messiah to G-d among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing: 16 to the one an aroma from death to death, and to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as the many who peddle the word of G-d; but as of sincerity, but as of G-d, in the sight of G-d—we speak in the Messiah.
Chapter 3
1 Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some do, letters of commendation to you or from you? 2 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men, 3 being manifested that you are a letter of the Messiah, ministered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living G-d, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of hearts of flesh. 4 And such confidence we have through the Messiah toward G-d, 5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reckon anything as from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from G-d, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant—not of letter but of Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the sons of Yisra’el were not able to gaze upon the face of Moshe because of the glory of his face—which was being brought to nothing— 8 how shall the ministry of the Spirit not be with even more glory? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. 10 For indeed that which had been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, because of the surpassing glory. 11 For if that which is being brought to nothing was through glory, much more that which remains is in glory.
Friday (6):
2 Corinthians 3:12 → 2 Corinthians 4:15 (22)
12 Having therefore such hope, we use much boldness of speech, 13 and are not like Moshe, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Yisra’el might not gaze upon the end of that which was being brought to nothing. 14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, it not being unveiled, because it is taken away in the Messiah. 15 But unto this day, whenever Moshe is read, a veil lies upon their heart. 16 But whenever one turns to the Master, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Master is spirit; and where the spirit of the Master is, there is freedom. 18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Master, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Master’s spirit.
“2. Now, the tzaddik has a pure countenance.> Everyone can see his own face in the face of <the tzaddik>, as [he could] in a mirror. As a result, even without rebuke and without reproof, his friend will feel remorse for his deeds just by having looked into <the tzaddik’s> face. This is because by looking into his face, a person will see himself as if in a mirror and, [realizing] how he is immersed in darkness, <will feel remorse>.”
-Likutei Moharan 19:2
Chapter 4
1 Therefore, having this ministry even as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor adulterating the word of G-d, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men in the sight of G-d. 3 But even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are perishing, 4 in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of the Messiah, who is the image of G-d, should not dawn upon them. 5 For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Messiah Yeshua as Master, and ourselves as your servants for Yeshua’s sake. 6 For G-d who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness”—He is the one who shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of G-d in the face of Messiah. 7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of G-d and not from us— 8 in every way pressed, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not despairing; 9 persecuted, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Yeshua, that the life also of Yeshua may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always being delivered over to death for Yeshua’s sake, that the life also of Yeshua may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death is working in us, but life in you. 13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written: “I believed, therefore I spoke”—we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14 knowing that He who raised the Master Yeshua will raise us also with Yeshua, and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sake, that the grace, having abounded through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of G-d.
Shabbat (7):
2 Corinthians 4:16 → 2 Corinthians 5:21 (24)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Chapter 5
1 For we know that if our earthly tent-dwelling is taken down, we have a building from G-d—a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our dwelling which is from heaven, 3 since also being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For indeed we who are in the tent groan, being burdened—not that we wish to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who prepared us for this very thing is G-d, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment. 6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Master— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight— 8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and at home with the Master. 9 Therefore we also make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well-pleasing to him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of the Messiah, that each one may receive what is due for the things done through the body, whether good or worthless. 11 Knowing therefore the fear of the L-rd, we persuade men; but we are made manifest to G-d, and I hope also to be made manifest in your consciences. 12 We are not again commending ourselves to you, but giving you an occasion for boasting on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart. 13 For whether we were beside ourselves, it was for G-d; or whether we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of the Messiah constrains us, having judged this—that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised. 16 Therefore from now on we know no one according to the flesh; even if we have known the Messiah according to the flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in the Messiah, there is a new creation; the old things passed away—behold, they have become new. 18 But all things are from G-d, who reconciled us to Himself through the Messiah and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that G-d was in the Messiah reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of the Messiah, as though G-d were entreating through us; we beg on behalf of the Messiah: be reconciled to G-d. 21 Him who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of G-d in him.
