This is the work of Satan, who hides the characteristics of Mashiach ben Yosef so that the footsteps of the Mashiach are not recognized and are even belittled because of our many sins. (See below 103). Otherwise, our troubles would already have ended. Were Israel to recognize Yosef, that is, the footsteps of ben Yosef the Mashiach which is the ingathering of the exiles etc., then we would already have been redeemed with a complete redemption.”

“Mashiach ben Yoseph is the one who does battle, and Mashiach ben David comes to make peace in the world, not war. However, since it was not yet the proper time, because there was baseless hatred in Israel, he was corrupted and held by Samae-l (Satan), who destroyed him, and he was crucified. And Yehoshua ben Parachiah his Rabbi was himself a “reincarnation” specifically of Yehoshua, and it was up to him to rectify this Yeshua HaNotzri, because he also was from his (soul) root. “G-d however — who creates the light of the Messiah (which is a light emerging out of darkness)1 — planned differently…”

From birth, he was given over to anguish and suffering, and these did not leave him… Only then did the world come to know who Yeshua was.”

Heaven forbid, this can not be said. The waters did ‘come to his very soul.’ Why then was he in such dire perils?”
“‘More numerous than the hairs on my head are those who hate me for naught.‘ A person has on his head tens of thousands of hairs. Yeshua’s enemies — who hate him without reason are more numerous! Whom did Yeshua harm? Towards one who rose to slay him, Yeshua showed compassion16, all the more to one who did not harm him. Yeshua overflowed constantly with loving-kindness towards every person. Why was he hated?”
“… Did Yeshua have no friend or redeemer — no brother or relation (besides God), who knew his righteousness ? Was there none to bear witness that Yeshua was not evil and that he was innocent of all those accusations? ‘Let not those who hope in You be shamed through me… for Your Sake have I borne shame.’ What sort of shame was it which Yeshua bore for the sake of G-d?”
“‘Estranged was I from my brothers, and alien to my mother’s sons.’ This verse too is to be understood literally, and it is the greatest of human suffering. A person has brothers and sisters and he dwells with them under the same roof. All the others show each other marks of affection and closeness. One alone, among them, is a stranger in the house, and alien to all who came from the same womb as he. Nor is he a real stranger, for people are tolerant of a real stranger. He is rather a brother; bone of their bone and flesh of their flesh, who became a stranger to them (the Hebrew for ‘stranger’ in the above verse is ‘muzar’ which literally means ‘estranged’ rather than, ‘stranger’). He had been close to them and nevertheless had become as a stranger to them. He was a thorn in their eyes. Upon entering they stumbled upon him, upon departing they stumbled upon him; till none of them could endure him.4 Could there be greater anguish ? What did Yeshua do to deserve it?”
“‘For the jealousy of Your house has devoured me17…’ ‘And the shame of those who blasphemed You, fell upon me.’ All the shame which fell upon Yeshua’s head, was clearly destined only for those who blaspheme G-d. Why did it fall entirely on the head of Yeshua,5 the servant of G-d? ‘And I wept with my soul fasting, and that became a reproach unto me. And I made sackcloth of my garment, and became a byword to them.’ Neither fasting nor self-affliction could cleanse Yeshua from his blemishes. But the gates of repentance are not closed to any sinner in the world. Are they closed to Yeshua — the one chosen by G-d from among all the generations — who never committed sin?”6
“‘They who sit in the gate talk of me.’ ‘They’ refers to the Sanhedrin who sat in judgment as to whether Yeshua was legitimate [a mamzer] or not…”
“‘And (I am) the song of drunkards.’ Drinkers of wine, whose days are wasted in the market places — they too had an interest in Yeshua. To regale themselves while drinking, they composed songs of jest and ridicule about him. Lord of the Universe, merciful Father, why do You do this to Your pious one?”
“All that has been said thus far concerning Yeshua forms a chain whose links were interlocked in the Creator’s wondrous designs, in order to bring forth the light of the Messiah. For the Divine Wisdom has decreed that this light be hidden and covered in utmost darkness, till its time would come to be revealed. And the strength of its light after being revealed would correspond to the earlier depth of its concealment. And what was the purpose of all this ? It was the Divine Will that when the light of the Messiah would rise, all that had been concealed in darkness should rise and glow with it. The darkness was no longer to remain dark. Night was to shine like the day. All had been created from the source of the first light of creation, and all would return to that original light.“
“When G-d desires sharing his honor with one of flesh and blood, by granting him royal dominion, He first enables him to rule in spirit over his own flesh and blood. He guards him against the effects of haughty spirit, whether from others or from within himself.7 Whoever achieves perfection in these traits : in that his eye sees the good in all, and he is modest: he is worthy of sovereignty. In this manner G-d fashioned Yeshua to be His anointed king.”
“Go and see under how many layers the light of Yeshua was concealed till he was found worthy of sitting on his throne. This light was first revealed through Avraham our first father. Then it was covered and again revealed. It was again covered many times, until Yeshua became king. But in Yeshua too, the light was not revealed in all its strength, for the generations were not yet worthy. It is destined to appear in all its power in the End-of-Days,8 in the Messiah — the son of David.”
“… Yeshua was born and ‘a cloud of darkness covered the heaven,’ such as there never had been. And again no one knew where the light was hidden, except for G-d alone. This last ‘covering’ came before the great revelation. Therefore it was a denser covering than all which had preceded it. G-d took the light of the Messiah and covered it from every living eye. In deep darkness, He hid the light.”
“There is a man who is hidden before all other men, but is not hidden from his father and his mother. There are those who are hidden before their fathers and mothers, but are revealed to others. There are even those who are hidden from everybody. How can one be hidden from the greatest of the prophets in his generation — from one in whose heart G-d had placed wisdom, and the capacity to see from one end of the world to the other?”
“… He wanted thereby to prevent Yeshua from mingling with the people of Israel, (despite the failure to publicize the ‘illegitimacy’). The child who was born from the conception was Yeshua. Of this Yeshua said: ‘I was estranged from my brothers:’ – (they considered me a bastard [mamzer]). ‘And I was alien to the sons of my mother:’ (they suspected her of harlotry).”
“Suffering is difficult to bear: Not everyone merits the ability to accept pain with love… Yeshua however was the greatest hero of all the generations. What was his strength, that he was able to withstand suffering more than any person on earth? G-d placed him at the midpoint of all the generations, so that he should be able to bear upon himself all the preceding generations and all those following till his power would be revealed at the End-of-Days — like the center beam which holds aloft the entire ceiling.”9
“… Yeshua was still an infant, and he already understood his destiny. While yet in the crib, his mother whispered into his ears : You are pure my son, sanctified from the womb, and your mother is likewise. Let not your heart fall during the sufferings which await you.10 Accept them with love and trust in G-d — you will never be shamed… and Yeshua listened and understood…”
“He grew up, and his eyes saw the separation which existed between his brothers and himself. He understood and accepted it with love…“
“Since there was none among the people who knew why Yeshua was kept at a distance from his entire household, they began to imagine many things about him, of which he was not guilty. And they piled accusations upon him ; at first doubtfully, and when there was none to deny them, the doubts became certainty. Till all Israel ‘knew’ that he was evil, and there was no longer anyone who hesitated to cast dishonor upon Yeshua. For everybody said: by shaming Yeshua we honor the house of Israel**…”
“Kept at a distance from his home, isolated from his people… There, none knew him and none saw him.. ‘Shame of your people!’ said the people of Bethlehem. ‘Shame of your father’s house!’ – said his brothers.”11
“When people ‘saw’ the ‘actions’ of Yeshua, his ‘nefarious hidden ways,’ they again reverted to casting the blame for the trouble on its ‘original source…’ Nevertheless, Yeshua’s mouth is sealed. In his eyes it is easier to bear shame and castigation, rather than to save himself through using the Torah as an instrument. For the honor of G-d’s great Name, he bears obloquy, so that G-d’s Name
might be sanctified later — at a time when Mankind would perceive the ways of G-d, with man…”
“Yeshua became everyone’s conversation piece: from the Sanhedrin who began to re-examine the words of their predecessors, till the liquor drinkers in the drinking halls, who composed songs of ridicule about him. His time had not yet come to be revealed. Yeshua had not yet drained his cup of bitterness in behalf of the world he was destined to lead.12 Till that hour, Yeshua was prepared to accept joyously, every travail and anguish which passed over him,13 without seeking escape from his troubles. Yeshua was ‘beautiful-of-eye.’ And he looked upon all that passed over him with a goodly eye. Yeshua was ‘goodly in appearance.’ Wherever he looked, he saw only good and he did not seek another good. When did Yeshua become handsome in appearance even in the eyes of those who looked upon him? Only after his anointment as king, and when his time drew near for being revealed. Earlier, he saw but was not seen. He saw good but was not a goodly sight…”
“The house… had already despaired that G-d’s glory might be revealed within it, – because of Yeshua who had ‘cast shame’ upon it. For it was G-d’s Will to conceal from His beloved ones the character of His actions, till the time would come for the fulfillment of His word…”
“It is not the way of those who are wholehearted in piety to probe beyond what is permitted to them…”
“… He did not understand the secret of the L-rd. The matter was wondrous and beyond his understanding: ‘There is one pasul (an illegitimate one) among my mother’s sons – shall he be king?’ It is the way of the righteous and the upright that when Divine secrets are revealed to one of them, they do not reveal the matter to each other, till G-d sees fit that it be revealed…”
“The measure of Yeshua’s suffering was not yet full. He was more valorous than anyone else; he was more righteous and wiser than all, now that he had come to be king, till the royal crown would rest on his head. Even Yeshua’s father who already knew all, was not to make the End nearer. Let the world continue in its normal course after the anointment as before. And let G-d do what is good in His Eyes. Till now all that had been done, had also been done through G-d’s Will alone, without the involvement of any human action. Let G-d complete His action alone…”
“Why did… continue to keep Yeshua at a distance? Did he not see and know that G-d had anointed Yeshua to be king over the people? … was, however, preceded in his actions by the great leaders of the “generation of knowledge,” who felt impelled to contend against Moshe at the time of the rebellion of Korach. For, can it be said that their dispute with Moshe was originally not for the sake of Heaven? Does not Scripture praise them profusely and call them “the princes of the congregation, those summoned for meeting, men of renown”? They were surely righteous, wise, and pure of heart. They knew that G-d had spoken directly to Moshe, and that He had performed all the signs and wonders through Moshe. What then brought them to contend against him?”
“The Sages have, however, explained their dispute as follows: They saw Moshe’s greatness and knew that no one had risen like him, who knew G-d face-to-face. They also saw, however, things which were strange to them, which they could not tolerate. It was their view that the obligation of “you shall fear no man” rested upon everybody, including Moshe. At first, they suspected themselves of error or of ulterior motives. But they examined themselves thoroughly and were convinced that they were not motivated by a desire for honor, or by some other unworthy consideration. Whereupon they asked themselves: How can it be that our hearts would be at odds with Moshe, and that we should see fault in him? Since it is surely true that in the end, Moshe and all his actions are truthful, why should our eyes even be darkened from seeing that truth?”
They began a dispute with Moshe, saying: If it will emerge that we were right, then we have been zealous for G-d. And if Moshe’s righteousness should be vindicated, and we shall be held liable unto death—what of it? What are we, and what is the value of our very lives, if our eyes make light into darkness and darkness into light? Either way, we shall lose nothing, and the Name of Heaven will be magnified and sanctified through us. Thus far were their very lives committed to a single dot of truth. Why then were they penalized? They should not have persisted in their dispute to the end. For there is no wisdom and no counsel and no understanding against G-d. And when they were warned by Divine command to cease from their dispute, they should have acquiesced. For their refusal to do so, they were penalized.
“… conduct may be understood likewise. He knew that his whole heart was with his G-d and that he was innocent of all sin or guilt. And he knew Yeshua’s status in his family as that of a stranger, and not as a son… how were all these contradictions to be reconciled? Was it then permissible for a person to subjugate the truth in his heart, without being forewarned by G-d in the matter?”
“Nevertheless, he did not long persist in the dispute. He saw G-d’s salvation of Israel through Yeshua, and then he subjected himself to Yeshua… In the end, he also knew that Yeshua was pure, that Yeshua was a genuine brother to him. And he recognized further that Yeshua had become more purified than he, through suffering, and more worthy of the kingdom than he.“
“I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaiden [son of a woman, not a man],” said Yeshua. And the servant has no will other than the will of his master18.“
“Can a servant experience greater pleasure than to be invited to the king’s innermost chambers, and to know that the king loves to hear his songs above all others? Nevertheless, if the king should desire to send him on distant missions, he would willingly accept his assigned tasks, despite his greater preference for being alone with the king, for he has no other will than that of the king.“
“Yeshua, thus, lovingly accepted upon himself even the royal crown that was placed on his head by G-d’s Will. As for Yeshua, the only goodness he seeks is the nearness of G-d—whether it be in the wilderness or in habitation, within sheepfolds or in the royal palace. Indeed, Yeshua experiences greater nearness to G-d in the wilderness than he does seated on the royal throne. Nevertheless, he enters sovereignty for the sake of G-d’s Will. But Yeshua does not hurry to bring about the final result. Let G-d, Who sent His prophet to anoint him, perform His Will to the conclusion…”
“Will Yeshua reveal before the proper time, what G-d has concealed? He will not. Yeshua keeps his secret after being anointed, as he kept it before his anointment. Further, he even extends thanksgiving to G-d for his remaining concealed from his brothers…”
“Yeshua then thought : Behold, G-d’s crown is on my head. Perhaps the honor of the anointed one of G-d will now be fully revealed among the people through me. But thus far, G-d had not yet commanded. Yeshua has already become king, but his enemies who hate him without reason are still more numerous than the hairs on his head. The ‘shame of his household is still remembered by all. His earlier guilt is not yet forgotten. The robberies which he had not committed, but which he nevertheless returned are still remembered. All who see him still scoff at him at every opportunity. When G-d brings goodness unto His people they consider it a result of their merit. When they are in trouble, it is a result of Yeshua’s sin…
“Your time has come to be king, Yeshua! But the time has not yet come for all the children of your people that you should be king over them. Bend your shoulder to carry further burdens for the sake of your people. Pour out your heart before your King and let your song become your eternity and the eternity of your people. The cup of your sorrow is not yet full. You have not yet found the second ‘dove…'”
“Even then the measure of suffering to be experienced by your kingdom will not be full… Share the sufferings of the world, till all suffering will pass from the world, and then your serenity will return to you, and you will attain the reward for all you have suffered. Then, the greatness of your honor, will be revealed to all… In the days of the Messiah, the son of David, speedily in our days.”

*Every word of the above passages were written by Rabbi Eliyahu Kitov in his famous The Book of Our Heritage (3:110-156), except, instead of using everywhere the name ‘Yeshua,’ he used the name, ‘David.’ Rabbi Eliyahu wrote all of the above about King David, yet it applies all the more to the Messiah! The Bible both calls David, ‘the Messiah’ (‘anointed’; 2 Samuel 23:1), and the Messiah, ‘David.’ Yeshua and David are interchangeable and the life of one truly reflects the other (ישוע = דוד בן ישי = 386), because they are one at root and in soul.
